How to mount an ISO in Windows Server 2012 R2?

On Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2, it supports to mount ISO without any third-party software.

1, On Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2, log in as Administrator.
2. Launch “Windows Explorer“, navigate to C drive.
3. Right-click the ISO file.
4. Click “Mount“:

Click-Mount-ISO

Viola! It’s mounted:

In PowerShell: You can also perform “Mount-DiskImage -ImagePath” to mount an ISO and VHD file:

PowerShell-Mount-ISO-ImagePath

To dismount the disk image, we can perform “Dismount-DiskImage -ImagePath” to dismount it:

PowerShell-Mount-ISO-ImagePath-Dismount
